FansOnlySports accepts contributed articles from writers, analysts, coaches, club insiders and knowledgeable supporters. If you can write clearly about sport and you have something worth saying, we would like to hear from you.

- The business of sport — sponsorship, broadcasting, transfers and club finances
If your idea sits slightly outside this list but still fits a sports audience, pitch it anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
What We Look For
- Original writing — never published elsewhere, and not spun, scraped or copied
- 900 to 1,500 words for standard articles; longer for in-depth features
- A clear structure — a strong opening, useful subheadings and a natural conclusion
- Real substance — analysis, experience or data, not a rewrite of yesterday’s headlines
- Accurate facts — check names, dates, scores and statistics before submitting
- Plain, readable English — short paragraphs, no filler, no keyword stuffing
- Properly licensed images where supplied, with the source noted
What We Will Not Publish
- Content that is plagiarised, previously published, or generated without any human editing
- Thin articles written purely to place a link
- Topics with no genuine connection to sport or our readers
- Defamatory, discriminatory or deliberately inflammatory material
- Unverified transfer rumours presented as confirmed news
Link Policy
Contributors may include links where they add real value for the reader. As a guide, we accept one relevant link within the body of the article and one in the author biography. Links must point to a legitimate, working, family-friendly website that is relevant to the topic.
Our editorial team makes the final decision on whether a link is kept, adjusted or marked with an appropriate attribute. We do not accept links to sites that are unrelated to our audience.
How to Submit
Email your pitch or completed draft to [email protected] using the subject line “Guest Post — [Your Topic]”.
Please include:
- Your proposed headline and a two to three line summary of the angle
- The full article as a Google Doc link or Word attachment, if it is already written
- A short author biography of 40 to 60 words
- The website or social profile you would like credited
- Any images you have permission to use
What Happens Next
We aim to reply to every submission within one to two hours during working hours. If your pitch is accepted, we will confirm the publication timeline and let you know about any edits we plan to make.
Accepted articles are usually published within a few working days. Once your piece is live, we will send you the direct URL so you can share it.
Author Credit
Every published contributor receives a byline and an author biography at the end of the article. If you write for us regularly, we can set up a permanent author profile page so all of your work appears in one place.
